Claire White, Senior Director of Education for The Mob Museum, walks you through 250 years of organized crime. While organized crime in its modern sense hadn't begun, piracy and street gangs were certainly prevalent in the 1770s. Claire begins in the 1770s taking us all the way through to the 1970s, the start of the traditional organized crime.
About the Speaker: Claire White is the Director of Education at The Mob Museum. White is responsible for the creation of educational and interpretive programs featured on-site and across Southern Nevada. She contributes to the Museum’s exhibits and blog, primarily focused on topics related to Prohibition and Las Vegas history. White earned an MA in public history from the University of South Carolina and a BA in history and secondary education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
