Memory Screening
Thursday, June 11
1:00pm - 4:00pm
Central Library
WorkshopTo help residents take a proactive approach to brain health, the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America offers a National Screening Program, and Janet Stachula, the Township nurse, provides free, confidential memory screening for individuals with memory concerns. The screening is non‑invasive, consists of a brief series of questions and tasks, and takes about 10–15 minutes to complete. It serves as an indicator of whether someone might benefit from a more extensive medical evaluation.
Results are reviewed with the individual immediately after the screening. Warning signs of Alzheimer’s disease, what is normal forgetfulness, what is concerning forgetfulness, and practical tips for managing memory changes are also discussed.
To register for the screening, please contact Janet Stachula, the Township Nurse to set up an appointment at 847-285-4551
