September is Suicide Prevention Month, and the Youth Advisory Council (YAC) serving District 211 has a table set up to promote suicide prevention awareness and recruit students for the Youth Advisory Council group.
The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is composed of high school students who either live in or attend school within the community. The council is committed to fostering positive youth development and creating meaningful change through youth-led initiatives. YAC operates throughout the year, meeting regularly, and is led by youth and supported by adults.
