The A–Z Figurine Cases exhibit celebrates contemporary and historical Black creatives across various disciplines through an innovative alphabetized display of over 26 figurines. Each figurine represents a different creative individual, with stories written by Richard Dryden and art crafted by Dave Kaleta, showcasing the profound impact of Black creativity. Visitors are invited to explore literacy and engage with the inspiring stories behind each figurine, enhancing both their understanding of Black culture and the alphabet.
The exhibit also features creativity, offering patrons the opportunity to showcase their own creations alongside the ABC figurines.
Please note that public creations may be disassembled by staff to ensure that all visitors have the chance to engage with the exhibit. Additionally, creations will not remain on display throughout the summer.
