Dr. Sabeel Ahmed addresses common misconceptions about Islam, including Sharia Law, women’s rights, Jihad, and Islam’s relationship with modern science. As Executive Director of GainPeace, an outreach project of the Islamic Circle of North America, Dr. Ahmed's mission is to build bridges between different faiths and share the peaceful message of Islam.

With over 1 million visitors each year, the library circulates over 2,000,000 items annually and is the second largest public library in the state of Illinois.
