At the height of the Depression in 1933, the country was captivated by the trial of Eleanor Jarman from Chicago, who the press dubbed the Blonde Tigress. Ensnared in a crime spree, she was convicted as an accomplice to murder and sent to the new Oakdale Reformatory for Women in Dwight, Illinois. In 1940, Eleanor escaped and managed to live out her life as, perhaps, America's longest-running female fugitive. Join author Silvia Pettem as she details her investigation of Eleanor's story and her search for Eleanor's remains—right up to a visit of her likely grave.
