Drop In Program: Teen Voter Registration

National Voter Registration Day

Are you a teen who is 17 going on 18 or already 18 years old? Learn about your right to vote and how to register with help from volunteers at our Central Library.

In order to register to vote, you must:

• Be a United States Citizen.
• Be at least 17 years old on or before the date of the Primary Election (March 17, 2026) and turn 18 on or before the date of the General or Consolidated Election (November 3, 2026).
  • 16-year-olds may preregister to vote.
• Live in your election precinct at least 30 days prior to Election Day.
• Not be serving a sentence of confinement in any penal institution as a result of a conviction.
• You may not claim the right to vote anywhere else.
• Please bring a drivers license or state ID. 

You can pre-register to vote starting at 16. Even if you won't be 18 this election season, come on by and get yourself set up to vote.
