Illinois is home to many influential people throughout history, including presidents and first ladies. From June 1 through August 31 visit the Central Library, second floor, for an exhibit about four presidents and three first ladies who called Illinois home. This display features the legacy of Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, Ronald Regan, Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Betty Ford.
This Civic Empowerment Series Exhibits is brought to you in partnership with Skokie Public Library, Vernon Area Public Library, Blue Island Public Library, Highland Park Public Library, Aurora Public Library District, La Grange Public Library, Fox River Valley Public Library, Algonquin Area Public Library District, Roselle Public Library, Arlington Heights Memorial Library, Lincolnwood Public Library District, Palatine Library District, Morton Grove Public Library, Oak Park Public Library and the National First Ladies Library & Museum.

The Schaumburg Township District Library serves in excess of 134,000 residents in portions of the municipalities Elk Grove Village, Hanover Park, Hoffman Estates, Schaumburg and Streamwood. With over 1 million visitors each year, the library circulates over 2,000,000 items annually and is the second largest public library in the state of Illinois.
