Library Bookmark Contest
Central Library -
Unleash your artistic talent in the Schaumburg Library Bookmark Contest. Celebrate reading and creativity by designing an original bookmark that reflects your love of books, libraries, or community. Winners will have their designs printed as real bookmarks and shared with patrons throughout the Library.
This contest is from March 1 through March 31. Return your finished bookmark to any Library location.
Rules:
- Limit one entry per person. Last day to submit is March 31.
- Bookmark design must be original work. Nothing previously published is accepted.
- Popular figures (ex. Marvel, Disney, etc.) cannot be considered due to copyright restrictions.
- Pick up a bookmark design sheet from any Library Service Desk.
- Return your finished form to any Library Service Desk.
- Bookmarks will be displayed in the Library from April 1 through 16.
Age Ranges:
Bookmarks are judged in four age categories:
- 5-8 years
- 9-12 years
- 13-18 years
- 19+ years.
One winner per age range. Winners will be notified by April 6.

About the library
The Schaumburg Township District Library serves in excess of 134,000 residents in portions of the municipalities Elk Grove Village, Hanover Park, Hoffman Estates, Schaumburg and Streamwood. With over 1 million visitors each year, the library circulates over 2,000,000 items annually and is the second largest public library in the state of Illinois.
