Welcome to the hobby fair!
Tweens and teens 12-14 years of age - explore up to four unique hobbies at this two-hour event in half-hour sessions. Delve into gardening, sewing, mini figure painting, and the Schaumburg Library's Innovation Hub. You try each hobby and take home souvenirs of your own creation.
Girl Scout Lily A. is working on her Gold Award (the highest award a Girl Scout can earn), which aims to reduce social media use amongst teens due to its negative effects on mental health.
Adopting hobbies allows for multiple benefits such as reduced stress, enhanced well-being, and improved social connections.
Join Lily and discover a hobby to embrace in your own life!
Please note: You (or your parent/guardian for participants under age 18) will be required to sign our Waiver and Release of Liability before participating in this program. We will provide you with a copy of the waiver at the program.
