Join us for our non-fiction book discussion group. This month’s title is: Founding Brothers: The Revolutionary Generation by Joseph Ellis.
In Founding Brothers, historian Joseph Ellis examines how key figures like Hamilton, Burr, Jefferson, Washington, Adams, Franklin, and Madison shaped the fragile beginnings of the United States. Through six pivotal episodes—including Hamilton and Burr’s duel, Washington’s Farewell Address, and Franklin’s push to confront slavery—Ellis reveals how these complex individuals turned revolutionary ideals into a functioning government during the critical decade after 1790.
