"In the old tales, it is written that the egg of a seadragon, dragonfruit, holds within it the power to undo a person's greatest sorrow. But as with all things that offer hope when hope has gone, the tale comes with a warning. Every wish demands a price." ~ Dragonfruit by Makiia Lucier
Join us for an unforgettable evening with Makiia Lucier, young adult author of A Death-Struck Year, the Tower of Winds series, Year of the Reaper, and, most recently, Dragonfruit.
Lucier visits in person for a Q&A session with a teen librarian, to share her journey as an author, the inspiration behind her stories, and the creative process that brings her worlds to life.
Enjoy light refreshments, conversation, and an evening steeped in fantasy and dragons. An author signing closes the night, with limited free copies of Dragonfruit available at the event. Attendees are also encouraged to bring their own copies of Lucier’s books for signing.
