Join us for our non-fiction book discussion group. This month’s title is Zero-Fail: The Rise and Fall of the Secret Service by Carol Leonnig
Carol Leonnig spent nearly a decade reporting on the Secret Service, uncovering its scandals, outdated equipment, and toxic culture. Once reformed after JFK’s assassination, the agency later faced mismanagement, including break-ins, gunfire incidents, and a prostitution scandal. Under Donald Trump, promised reforms were ignored, and the agency’s flaws deepened. Through interviews with agents, officials, and whistleblowers, Leonnig exposes an agency in dire need of reform.
