Come hop on the bus and join us for a tour of five Schaumburg Township historic barns that have seen their purpose change from housing livestock to continuing to serve our community with new and welcome services. This is a repeat of our very popular barn tour offered in 2022. We'll visit the Volkening Heritage Barn, Turret House and Barn, Mennonite Church Barn, Civic Barn and Vogelei Barn.
Our Schaumburg Township Historical Society, along with our partners Schaumburg Township and Schaumburg Township District Library, will offer this bus tour to educate and entertain our friends and neighbors.
Please join us for the tour on October 19, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at the Schaumburg Township Town Hall at 1 Illinois Boulevard in Hoffman Estates. The two buses will leave promptly at 1:00 p.m.
Tickets are $25. Tickets sales for those over 18 years, will begin on Sept. 4, 2024. Seating is limited to 34 guests.

Light refreshments will be served at the 1856 Sunderlage Farm House with the opportunity to see the smoke house that is on the National Register of Historic Places. Buses will return to the Schaumburg Township building by 3:00 pm or a little later if traffic delays develop.
