This program is a beginner-level course on identifying where your Jewish ancestors lived in Europe by using available U.S. and European documents. We discuss strategies for figuring out which online records are available for your family, discuss common Jewish name changes, burial practices, and some valuable databases for pinpointing the exact town or village from where they hailed. If you have Jewish relatives who came from Russia, Austria, Hungary, or Romania, this course is for you.
This program is recorded and available online for two weeks.
