Learn to Dance Salsa

If you are looking for a fun, healthy activity to add to your lifestyle then join Desueño Dance, and let’s get moving. Dance is an excellent way to relieve stress and connect socially through movement. Your dance instructor guides you as you begin learning to dance Salsa --one of the most popular dances in the world. You don't need to bring a partner to class because we will rotate. This workshop is designed to give participants an introduction to Salsa dancing. We focus on learning basic steps and movements that allow students to dance to various Salsa songs. We teach movements that people can dance with a partner.

Please note: You must sign our Waiver and Release of Liability before participating in this program. We provide a copy of the waiver at the program.

About Desueno Dance: Desueño is a dance company that fuses Afro-Latin, Jazz, and contemporary movements under the direction of Denita Inez. Desueño shares dance through performances, workshops, and social dancing. Since its inception, Desueño has performed and taught at various events including Chicago SummerDance, Chicago Salsa Congress, Chicago Dance Month, Night Out in the Parks, Open Boulevards,
Bronzeville Summer Nights, and various private and corporate events.
