Join us for a book club designed for children with autism spectrum disorders, sensory processing sensitivities or disabilities. This month, we'll read aloud, talk about and complete activities based on the book The Secret of the Plátano by Luz Maria Mack.
Caregivers are encouraged to attend with their child; siblings are also welcome.
Sometimes the secrets of life are written in nature, under the stars, and in the sounds of the whispering leaves. Under the full moon, Abuela leads an enchanted dance, bows to the sky and the night winds, and helps her curious grandson discover the rhythm of his heartbeat while listening to the great secret of the plátanos.
