Ray Johnson was formerly in law enforcement. After leaving his criminal investigations career in 2005, he started a career in a field that he always loved; historical research, writing and teaching. He has over 30 years of experience in historical and genealogical research and has conducted research for other authors, television programs, (Syfy Channel, History Channel, Discovery Channel, A&E, Travel Channel, PBS Ancestors Series, ) attorneys, government agencies and family historians. He was also listed as a genealogy expert on Ancestry.com during their “Expert Connect Program” and has experience researching at virtually every major research repository in the Chicago Area.
