Thomas MacEntee will present the “one pass” approach to genealogy research to help you extract maximum information from a genealogy record on the first pass. We’ll cover how to save record images, transcribe and extract information, create a quick source citation and more.
Thomas MacEntee is a genealogist specializing in the use of technology and social media to improve genealogical research and as a means of interacting with others in the family history community. Utilizing over 25 years of experience in the information technology field, Thomas writes and lectures on the ways blogs, Facebook and Twitter can be leveraged to add new dimensions to the genealogy experience.
Doors will open at approximately 7 p.m. so you can pick-up handouts, review books and journals, and network with other participants. Tony Kierna will start the program at 7:30 p.m. with introductions of new participants and a brief review of handouts and genealogical matters.
