Inspired by the 1893 World's Fair, Burnham and Bennett's 1909 Plan of Chicago presented a vision of a stunning, world class city and launched the nationwide City Beautiful movement. Join art historian Jeff Mishur on a guided tour and explore the present day features of this landmark document in the history of urban planning. Highlights include the stories behind Lake Shore Drive, Wacker Drive, Michigan Avenue (and its bridge over the river), as well as the lakefront park system and the relationship between Millennium Park and the Museum Campus.
