Through a partnership with the Clerk of the Circuit Court and the Hoffman Estates Branch Library, this mobile service provides guided access to Illinois Legal Aid Online (ILAO). Staff from the Clerk’s office will be on site to help patrons navigate attorney-written articles, step-by-step guides, and self-help tools on topics such as eviction, divorce, bankruptcy, and child guardianship.
While legal advice is not provided, the Mobile Unit serves as a Pro Se Litigant Office, offering assistance for individuals who are representing themselves in a legal matter. Staff can also help connect patrons with free or low-cost legal service organizations.
