Come early to review genealogical materials. At 7:45 p.m. guest presenter Gail Lukasik, Ph.D., will share her on-screen and behind-the-scenes experiences with PBS’s Genealogy Roadshow, including how the story continued to unfold even after the show aired.
Lukasik has a fascinating history as a ballerina. She has had careers in business and after earning a Ph.D in English she became an educator and a published writer of poetry and mystery novels. Gail will share her personal reflections on racial identity and the many surprising twists to her family's multiracial story.
Doors will open at approximately 7 p.m. so you can pick-up handouts, review books and journals, and network with other participants. Tony Kierna will start the program at 7:30 p.m. with introductions of new participants and a brief review of handouts and genealogical matters.
