In 1945, the greatest single loss of life in the history of the US Navy took place when the USS Indianapolis was torpedoed, killing 300 men. The remaining 900 crewmen were faced with four horrific days in shark-infested waters. Historian Jim Gibbons will discuss this tragedy and its effect on history.
