Guest speaker is Steve Szabados reviews what sources are available to help you research your Chicago ancestors. Databases discussed will include vital records, church records, state records, federal records, employment records, histories of the neighborhoods and much more. The sources that are reviewed will include online websites, genealogy collections held at the major libraries, collections at local libraries and collections compiled by area genealogical societies.
Steve Szabados is a genealogy speaker, author and columnist. He has been researching his ancestors for about fourteen years and has traced ancestors back to 1600s New England and 1730’s in Poland, Germany, Bohemia and Slovenia. He is a member of the Polish Genealogical Society of America, the Illinois State Genealogical Society and Northwest Suburban Genealogical Society. Steve is the author of six print books and five eBooks all about genealogy.
